Course Description

We began offering the Beautician course in 1998 and it has become a very popular course with excellent job opportunities.

Course Topics in Beautician:

Anatomy and Physiology

Integumentary Systems, Physiology of the face, Cardio-Vascular Systems, Lymphatic Systems and Nerves of the face.

Cosmetic Chemistry

General properties and sources of cosmetic ingredients, basic formulations and actions of the various cosmetic material and the specialised therapeutic preparations used in Beauty Therapy.

Electricity

Basics of electrotherapy, various electrical currents applied to the tissue in treatments, safety and maintenance of equipment.

Dermatology

Description of most common disorders and diseases. When to refer a client to a medical practitioner.
